Black Friday Sales

I get a lot of emails about various discounts at this time of year, and so if you are in the running for one of the products that I use, here are the various sales I have seen:

StockSubmitterup to 80% off subscription sales between 27 November and 12 December. I use this program all the time and I will certainly be topping up my subscription amount. Remember that what you are buying is really a credit and you can use it on whichever package you plan to use in a particular month. You can downgrade the packages if you aren’t doing much travelling and haven’t as many images to upload that month or bump it up if you have more.

Photocrati – I use their theme and gallery for my “fine art portfolio” site which I must admit I am not very good at keeping up to date. However the theme and the gallery plugins are 40% off if you use the code BF40.

JixiPix – I use their painting applications and plugin when I am in the mood, and I have some good selling images (especially on Society6) as a result. They are 40% off if you use the code HOL40 at checkout. I think I last wrote about their plugins here.

Luminar 4 – I still use this for the sky replacement function, but it is being threatened by new features in Photoshop. However, I think they are coming out with more AI driven landscape and portrait functions shortly, so if you like their click and button and get the result (and with stock prices as low as they are that is maybe a good thing!), then you can use the small banner ad on the right and use my code for a special discount on their products.

I’m not sure if you are seeing this, but sales have been very poor for me for the past 2 weeks. Almost as if the agencies have changed their searches and a random bunch of old images are being purchased. I’ll write more about it in my usual monthly report next week.

Finally, I’ve been really pleased with my purchase of the Godox V1 flash gun after my loss of one of my canon flashes a few weeks back. I have just ordered the remote controller that matches it and I also bought a matching receiver, but this time for a Canon flash. I’ve no idea if I can use the controller on my Sony and control one of my Canon flashes as well, but they were all on sale and so I thought I would try. I can always return the Canon receiver if it doesn’t work. You can see the Godox products here on Amazon (affiliate link…) and their current sale prices. I bought the Godox V1-S and matching accessory kit (which is actually very useful and connects magnetically to the flashgun.

thanks for the heads up! I think this year I’m not buying anything, but always good to know! I am interested in the Godox AD400Pro Witstro All-In-One Outdoor Flash, but with the accessories, its a little over 1,000 U$ and stock sales are not very good at the moment. SS continues selling but now I need 3 times as many sales to make up my former income, and the other agencies somehow are not selling very well. January around the corner and we all go to level one in SS!

Yes, I know what you mean about sales. Everything is slow for me after a reasonable start in the first week. No record sales in my earnings report this month! I do like the Godox V1 though – very good quality just on the camera if I use the accessories like the diffuser and a flash reflector.

I'm always interested in what you think - please let me know!
