Earnings from selling photos in November 2011
Another pretty good month – even though the Thanksgiving holiday in the US depressed sales in the final week (especially on iStock). Overall sales again beat the $1000 barrier to come in at $1068. Not as good as last month’s $1300, but there were not at many big ticket sales. Veer was $31 instead of $135, Alamy $30 rather than $85 and CanStock slumped from $72 to a measly $11. Isignstock maintained its good record – down a bit from last month, but still a solid earner at $56. Finally, PhotoDune continues to grow nicely. They increased their commission percentage from 25% to 33% from 1 December, and even before that, I sold $20 on this relatively new site. I reviewed all these lower earning microstock sites in a blog post last month – this will help you decide if these sites are worth uploading to.
The good news is that I look to be well on track for my target of earning $10,000 from stock photography in 2011. My total to date is $9382 with just one month to go. I’ll have to think of a new target for 2012 and get it it line to become a New Year Resolution!
