Earnings from Stock Photography April 2011

Another record month in April in selling my images on Microstock! The total in the month grew to $836, compared to earnings of $788 in March and $371 in April 2010. It definitely shows that a focus on taking more images and getting them online really pays off. This month I had a great run on Enhanced Downloads on Shutterstock with six of these $28 downloads in April – I’ve updated my post about the best selling images in April to show the photos that sold as enhanced downloads. Then I logged onto the Veer site to find that two of my cat images had sold as unlimited reproductions – getting $46 each. The good news seemed to keep on coming!  All this resulted in a record on Shutterstock of $386 for the month, with Veer on $169 and iStock with $102. The other sites just chugged along as normal, although I was disappointed not to sell any videos on Pond5 after the four sales in March.
