Ideas just keep coming….

I uploaded this image yesterday as an Easter background – cute?

But where did the idea come from? As usual, just browsing through my sales as I do each morning using Microstockr Pro. I came across this thumbnail:

Mmmhhh, I thought! That looks like one of those images that was used in the past on the Windows home screen, and the foreground looks very easy to isolate. Actually finding it in my Lightroom files was pretty tricky as I took it back in 2010 before I started properly keywording in Lightroom itself and all I had put in there was “House”! Not too helpful. But I did find it, reprocessed the raw image using today’s algorithms to more clearly separate the foreground from the background, found one of my sky images and put the two together:

Now I thought that it could be different if it looked like the sun was shining into the lens, so into Photoshop for a Lens Flare:

Then, yesterday I saw a sale of a lamb in a meadow:

And my mind immediately jumped to my grassy knoll image with the lamb and so another search actually turned up a shot I had taken in Wales in early 2010. Luckily this one had the keywords Sheep, Wales and so finding it was a little easier:

So a bit of Photoshop extraction and a painted on shadow gives us the image I started the post with – an Easter background with plenty of copy space. Hopefully it will sell, but it certainly was not an expensive image to create!
