Record sales of stock video on Pond5
I’m going to post the overall earnings for March tomorrow, but the big news this month is going to be stock video. I uploaded some videos – usually 12 – 15 second HD clips – to Pond5 some time ago, and every month or two I get a sale, but this month I had 4 sales for a total of $125. Three of the sales were variants of my foreclosure sign
and are actually computer generated from the original digital photo. One is simply a zoom into the image, focusing on the foreclosure sign, the other was a little more complex and required the separation of the sign to allow that to grow. Pond5 seems to be very comfortable with digitally generated clips, and so my next task is to go through some of my more recent images and see if any of those could be converted to video clips. I’ll also start trying to remember to take native video on my camera when I am on location.
