Rework an old image for new results
I was looking at the images that had sold recently on Canva and came across the very small thumbnail for this image:
I sat thinking – why on earth would someone use that in a design? But then I saw the main shapes of the two trees – the large one very dominant, the smaller one cowering off to the right and thought that an image without the house and fence could illustrate themes such as domineering, oppressive, overbearing etc. There is growing interest in that sort of abuse, so perhaps that would be an interesting stock photo idea.
So a bit of Photoshop work, a drastic change to keywords and descriptions and I now have uploaded this to the agencies. Those old shots may have some new life in them!

Excellent, except now you have me feeling sorry for the little tree 🙁
Great idea, but we need to be careful about projection. The first thing that came to my mind was “mother and baby”.
